TAN THIAN JOO (陈赞裕) graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Western Arts) in 1989.
He held three solo exhibitions: “Fruits & Lotuses” (2005); “Fruits in the Shade” (2004); and “Fruits” (2001) and participated in many group exhibition, such as annual NAFA Alumni Association Anniversary Art Exhibition (2009 – 2013); Dr. Tan Tsze Chor Art Award Competition (2008 – 2012); Modern Art Society Annual show: “Unity in Diversity” (2012); “Boundaries” (2010); “Remade Relived: Modern Art in Singapore” (2009), “Liquid Passion” (2008); Asian International Art Exhibition (2011 and 2008); NAFA 70th Anniversary Fundraising Exhibition (2008); Singapore Art Society 60th Anniversary Exhibition (2010); Federation of Art Societies Singapore: “Retro Revival” Art Show (2012) and “The Vibrance of Sparking Jade” (2013); “Metamorphosis” Club NAFA Exhibition Series-7 (2012); NAFA Alumni Association Art Exhibition (2013); and “喜新依旧” Club NAFA Exhibition Series-9 (2013).
He also took part in “The Travelling Palette (Episode 3)”, a 3 days painting trip to Kukup in Malaysia, Art Central Channel of MediaCorp (Singapore).
He received Distinction in Dr. Tan Tsze Chor Art Award (2008); Highly Commended (Representational) in UOB Competition (2002 and 2000); and Consolation in Art Sentosa, Fort Siloso Painting Competition (1989).
His works collected by Singapore Armed Forces, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and local as well as overseas private collectors.
