TAN SENG KOK (陈胜国) is a multidiscipline artist graduated with a Master’s of Fine Arts from Birmingham City University, UK (BIAD) in 2012. His works have been exhibited in Singapore, Taiwan, Greece, Italy and United Kingdom.
His works explore different alternative ways to look at power and structural dynamics that exist in society. His research focus is on understanding and re-staging culture categorization. His work investigate space, absence and presence in transcend pure material to be open for individual interpretations and associations.
The use of canvas and paint is akin to the body and speed to create a language of relationship. It warrants him to look beyond simplicity of objects.
