LIM CHOON JIN (林俊能) received his MA in Fine Art from the Open University – LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts in 2005, BA in Visual Art (1st class Honours) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University Australia – LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts in 2004, and a Diploma in Painting from LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts in 1994.

He has held 8 solo exhibitions: “Iridescence” (2013); “Inkimage”, ICA (2011); “Growth • Meaning” (2011); “Flow in Nature” (2010); “Singart”, France (2008); “Distillation” (2007); “Rhythms of Nature” (2005); and “Nature’s Splendours” (2003).

He participated in many local and overseas group exhibitions, such as Asian International Art Exhibition (2006 – 2013); Annual-Shows organised by the Modern Art Society, The Chinese Artists Society, The Art Society and Singapore Printmaking Society; The Singapore Art Show (2009, 2007 and 2005); Nokia Singapore Art (2001 and 1999); President’s Charity Art Exhibition (1997); and “Balimage” (1992).

He was awarded with Highly Commended Award (Abstract Category) in the UOB Competition (2005); Category Winner (Traditional Chinese Medium Category) in the UOB Competition (2004); RMIT BA (Hons) Dean’s Excellent Award from the RMIT University, Australia (2004); Certificate of Recognition in Singapore ASEAN Art Awards, Philip Morris Asia Limited (2003); Certificate of Distinction Award (Traditional Chinese Medium Category) in the UOB Competition (1996).

His works are collected by corporations and private collectors.
