MARK LUO (罗福章) graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore in 1962, and worked as an Art Director until 1998.
Throughout the years of his art practice, his works were Highly Commended in many competitions, such as UOB Painting Of The Year Competitions (1989, 1990 and 1992); First Prize Asian Youth Council Logo Design Competition (1991); Runners-up in Olympics Challenge, Time Magazine (1992) and First Prize in Contemporary Western Art (2015) and Distinction Prizes (2013 and 2014) Dr Tan Tsze Chor Art Awards.
Mark actively participated in art exhibitions held in Singapore, as well as overseas in China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. These include the 8th and 19th Asian International Art Exhibition at Fukuoka City Art Museum (1993 and 2004) respectively; the 23rd Asian International Art Exhibition at University City Art Museum; Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (2008); the 26th Asian International Art Exhibition at Hangaram Art Museum, Seoul Arts Center (2011); "Legacy.Progression" China-Singapore Art Exchange Exhibition at Tsinghua University Art Museum and at ION Art Gallery, Singapore (2015) and Singapore & Taiwan Renowned Artist Art Exchange Exhibition (2016) at Taipei City, Taiwan.
His works are collected by numerous corporations and private collectors in Singapore and overseas, namely, Hong Kong, Macau, Spain, Switzerland and USA .
